1 min · Apartment renovation stages
What the video shows
  1. The first capture moves through the apartment before renovation, including the balcony and tiled kitchen.
  2. Separate recordings show rooms with finishes removed, the older blue-tiled bathroom, and its stripped walls.
  3. The final capture shows the finished bathroom and shower. Each scan was loaded into the viewer separately; the recordings were edited into one video.

3D Gaussian splats · LiDAR

Splat Viewer

We use Splat Viewer to inspect Gaussian splats and LiDAR scans, measure spaces, and extract building geometry. We developed it for LUMINOUS Pilot 3 and continue to extend it for other 3DGS work.

What the video shows
  1. The viewer opens an E57 scan captured by Ricoh as a coloured point cloud. The camera moves through the scanned rooms.
  2. The tool marks detected walls, floors, and ceilings with different colours. It then shows wall faces, door and window openings, and a room model around the scan.
  3. The video ends with a view of the extracted building layout and a Splat Viewer feature summary.

For LUMINOUS, we authored the platform architecture, worked on its voice layer, and developed Splat Viewer for architectural review. The video shows the viewer processing a scan captured by Ricoh.
